Why?

Do we really want to make a difference?

It’s amazing the reach and impact an online presence can have on our profession & our practices. Let’s not hide. Let’s let the world know we are here and we can make a difference! Let’s not cower in our offices with quiet voices hoping people will want to work with us. We have a calling, let’s use it to the fullest extent.

Do not look at me!

A Little Shy?

Just because the internet and social media is new, doesn’t mean we have to shy away from it. There is a way to use it that is ethical and effective at the same time. You don’t have to tell everything about yourself, it’s a way to just let people know you are here and a bit about how you work and what you specialize in. I can show you how to do this. If you are an introvert, this is really great news for you :) . You don’t have to go out and do talks, an effective website is a great way to get found by clients. It’s so much easier than the old way.

I remember in the 80′s some of us started posting ads on the back page of the Weekly and Stranger. At that time, that was not considered ethical or the right thing to do.

Some therapists now think the same thing about the internet and social media, but this is the wave of the future. Our younger clients have grown up with the web, they are much more use to it than we are. It’s not a big deal to them to use e-mail or Skype, they don’t think twice about it. It can be used in a way that helps our clients and us be found.

Coaches VS. Therapists

The coaches are the ones that started all the “putting yourself out there.”  Do you ever wonder why ANYONE would go to a coach instead of a Licensed  Therapist? I think it’s because they think it’s not a big deal. We therapists are a little weird, what is it we really do? What will happen if they come and see us? We therapists have hidden away for too many years, we need to let people know we are here and that we can make a big difference, if not, we are going to be taken over by COACHES!

If you are a laid back, quiet therapist; a mind, body, spirit therapist; or an outgoing therapist that likes to meet and greet everyone, this can work for you.

If you are ready to start the process of using an online presence to get more clients: your NEXT step is to sign up in the opt in box to the right. If you are ready to start NOW, then just e-mail me:) (yes, e-mail, it is sooo much faster.)

To your getting FOUND.
